We Moved to an Upscale Neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina

We moved to a really nice neighborhood right next to the South Carolina state line. They call it Ballantyne, and it is in Charlotte, North Carolina. There is a lot of upscale stuff here. We were looking for apartments in Ballantyne when we vacationed down here in North Carolina last year. My wife and I have our own business online that we can work from anywhere we have high-speed Internet access. So, picking up and moving to a nicer place was not a problem.

We had been developing our online business for a few years, and we had been longing to move south. We originally were going to move farther south, but we enjoyed North Carolina so much on our last vacation that we decided it would be a great place for us to move to. Our puppy girls really like it down here too. They are not fond of cold weather, and the mild climate suits them quite well.

We really found a nice place at the District South apartments with the nine-foot ceilings, designer lighting and an included washer and dryer in our apartment. Granite counters in the kitchen and ceramic tub surrounds are also an upscale touch. The resort style swimming pool lets you know that you are not in a shabby place. This is luxury living in a very nice Charlotte, North Carolina neighborhood.

I am very glad that my wife suggested we vacation in North Carolina last year. Otherwise, we would have never found the Ballantyne neighborhood or the District South apartments. We are close enough to Lake Wylie to enjoy boating, but we are far enough from the beach to not have the hurricane worries of coastal living. Charlotte is about 3.5 hours by car from the ocean. We do visit the beach a couple of times per year, but we enjoy the big pool at our apartment a whole lot better.
